Heather & Chris's Magnuson Park Engagement Session

Happy Friday Everyone!

Joe and I had the BEST time with Heather and Chris, and their closest family and friends, at JM Cellars for their rehearsal dinner last night. Not only was the mood and venue absolutely perfect, but the Veraci Pizza and amazing homemade pies by Chris's mom, Sally... it was a little slice of heaven that we felt lucky to be a part of.

Heather and Chris will be saying their vows at Willow's Lodge this weekend and we couldn't be more excited to be there. Two incredible people and a whole-lotta fun!

Camille & Dusty's Boise, Idaho Wedding

With a long year of planning behind them, Camille and Dusty's wedding at the C.W. Moore Penthouse was beautiful. The day even topped off with a stunning and stormy rainbow!

Sometimes when you're planning a wedding it feels like a living, breathing creature. One that can be happy and playful or frustrating and stubborn. Many of the brides and grooms I speak with have experienced both sides during their wedding planning, so you're not alone if you relate.

Here's the good news for anyone who has felt this... you have a lot of people that can, and will, love and support you if you ask them to. They may not be the people you were expecting to step forward, but they are there if you stay open and allow them to share in the excitement of your big day.

In my experience, those couples who lean on and find strength in friends and family and most importantly in each other have the easiest time focusing on what is most important... what has always been most important. They have found in each other their best friend and a lifelong companion. The one person they want to spend the rest of their days loving and learning with and the one reason for the day's celebration.

This is exactly what Camille and Dusty did and their day was full of love. We were so incredibly grateful to have been a part of that.

So... if you find yourself getting stuck in the swirl of the planning... all those details... all the contracts... all the deadlines...

Stop. Breathe. Remember what is most important.

Alicia & Josh's Maternity Session

Joe and I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Alicia and Josh's wedding at Laurel Creek Manor in 2008 and we were thrilled when they told us they were expecting their first baby this summer. Through the wonders of Facebook, we have watched the beautiful journey Alicia and Josh have been on since they had their first ultrasound. Weekly posts describing their growing miracle and how blessed they feel for each other and their incredible families... I feel giddy for their little girl's arrival too!
